SIV-G has been organising Online Essay Contests for students on themes close to its objective.  In this direction, SIV-G in association with the Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel Memorial Trust, Chennai and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai Kendra has conducted Nationwide Online Essay Contest for the students of age group 15 to 23 years from 2007 to 2015.  The Theme of these Contests were relating to  ‘Integrity and Good Governance’.  These contests were organized as part of Birthday Celebrations of Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel which is 31st October.  

The entries were evaluated by well wishers of SIV-G who excelled in different walks of life.  Prizes awarded to students on 31st October in a public function organised at Bharatia Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore, Chennai.  Leading personalities like Mr. N. Vittal, IAS(Rets), Mr. B.S. Raghavan, IAS(Rtd), Mr. N. Gopalswamy, IAS(Rtd), Mr. V.R. Lakshminarayanan, IPS(Rtd) and many others dignitaries addressed the prize winners and general public during those functions.
